Add to this misery, Gallegly won’t hold town hall meetings and won’t debate campaign challengers.  Probably because he doesn’t care what his constituents have to say and doesn’t want to be challenged with the facts.

Go play with the yearly data there, and you’ll see he’s always been a favorite of the insurance/pharma industries.

Just got a robocall from Strickland Campaign

Just got a robocall from the Strickland campaign.  In it the recording said something about Hannah-Beth Jackson running a smear campaign against Strickland.  It said Strickland was on the ethics committee – wait there’s something funny about the words Strickland and ethics in the same sentence.  When I think of the Stricklands sending out Joel Angeles in an attempt to stop folks from peacefully protesting, where Angeles is now being brought to court for allegedly knocking an older gentleman on the ground, I have a hard time thinking of Strickland on any ethics committee.  My impression of Mr. Angeles, as I observed the occasion, was that he looked like a thug.

When I think of Strickland’s Green Wave Energy, that does nothing, reportedly having no employees or money, and a Stricland past voting record that was abysmal for the environment, I really have a hard time thinking of Strickland and ethics.  In my opinion, it seems the Stricklands are the ones running a smear campaign. This is not even to mention some of the creepy folk that have contributed to his campaign.  please see prior Strickland posts.

Time to clean up government.

Vote Ferial Masry and Hannah-Beth Jackson.  Let the Stricklands have the time to actually do something with their yet to launch company.

McCain Call Centers Workers Walk Off Instead of Reading Inflamatory Script About Obama

Some three dozen workers at a telemarketing call center in Indiana walked off the job rather than read an incendiary McCain campaign script attacking Barack Obama, according to two workers at the center and one of their parents.

Nina Williams, a stay-at-home mom in Lake County, Indiana, tells us that her daughter recently called her from her job at the center, upset that she had been asked to read a script attacking Obama for being “dangerously weak on crime,” “coddling criminals,” and for voting against “protecting children from danger.”

Williams’ daughter told her that up to 40 of her co-workers had refused to read the script, and had left the call center after supervisors told them that they would have to either read the call or leave, Williams says. The call center is called Americall, and it’s located in Hobart, IN.

“They walked out,” Williams says of her daughter and her co-workers, adding that they weren’t fired but willingly sacrificed pay rather than read the lines. “They were told [by supervisors], `If you all leave, you’re not gonna get paid for the rest of the day.”

The daughter, who wanted her name withheld fearing retribution from her employer, confirmed the story to us. “It was like at least 40 people,” the daughter said. “People thought the script was nasty and they didn’t wanna read it.” read more

“We were asked to read something saying [Obama and Democrats] were against protecting children from danger,” this worker said. “I wouldn’t do it. A lot of people left. They thought it was disgusting.”

Update on Strickland brawl from the summer

Many will remember the brawl involving Audra Strickland’s Chief of Staff, Joel Angeles, with demonstrators over the summer. As an update, it appears that Angeles has battery charges that are being referred to the California State Attorney General. Read more of the story here.

Ew

The Stricklands need to go.  Their behavior and who they associate with is unbelieveable.

Strickland sends out mailer trying to trick voters

There seems to be no end to the Strickland dishonesty.  Most recently he has sent out a mailer that does not declare from where it came, which may suggest it was sent by Hannah-Beth Jackson. By failing to clearly indicate from what campaign the mailer was sent, this broke the law.

Haven’t we had enough of politicians who think they can violate the law and get away with it.  For ethical reasons alone, Strickland needs to go.  Jackson clearly appears to have stronger ethics.  We need to wash this nation clean of law breaking politicians to move forward as a success instead of control by corporate greed and the politicians that support them instead of their constituency.

Time to get rid of dishonest politicians – Tony Strickland

How is it Tony Strickland presents himself as a “friend” of the environment?  Take a look at his voting record to see that is clearly NOT TRUE!  His poor environmental voting record spans back to 1999.   On the other hand Hannah-Beth Jackson looks to be the state senator we need to focus on the environment.  Compare their votes here.

Haven’t we had enough already with the dishonesty in government?  I am sick of it.

Vote Hannah-Beth Jackson to focus on the environment and working families.

Colin Powell: Obama “He would electrify our country and the world”

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Secretary of State, and National Security Advisor Colin Powell has chosen to back Barack Obama. In an interview today, on Meet the Press, Powell stated that Obama would electrify our county and the world.

Powell stated that McCain’s “unsure” response to the ongoing economic crisis and his selection of a running mate who is “not ready to be president of the United States,” along with an increasingly “narrow” Republican approach to deepening national problems, had led him to support Obama. Other well thought and specific remarks included “His ability to inspire, the inclusive nature of his campaign, his reaching out all across America, who he is and his rhetorical abilities….he has both style and substance,” Powell said of Obama. He said that Obama’s own intellectual ability, and the experts surrounding him, had convinced him of Obama’s readiness to lead the country. During the recent economic crisis in particular, Powell said, Obama had shown “steadiness, intellectual curiosity, a depth of knowledge and approach….not just jumping in and changing every day but showing intellectual vigor. He has a definitive way of doing business that would serve us well”. He felt Obama’s pick of Senator Joe Biden ensured that we had an individual that was ready to serve on day one.

As for McCain, he said, “I found he was a little unsure as to how to deal with economic problems we’re having, almost every day a different approach. That concerned me, a sense that he didn’t have a complete grasp” of the situation.

Powell said he was also concerned about McCain’s vice presidential choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, whom he called “a distinguished woman,” who was not ready to be president. “That raised some questions in my mind as to his judgment.” read more from the Washington Post

Bail Out? Did Anyone Read It?

OK the bailout, as written on Monday, was 110 pages.  John McCain admitted in an interview that he hadn’t had time to read it over the weekend when it was 3 pages.  Surely he didn’t read the 110 pages on Monday.  The Senate voted this evening on a revised version that included 451 pages.  I’m wondering if anyone read it.  I think I’m safe guessing McCain didn’t read it if he couldn’t read Paulson’s version when it was 3 pages, or was it two… can’t remember now while worrying about our future.

I’m guessing Obama didn’t read it either.  Realistically, how could he fit in 451 pages of reading while campaigning. Yet all of them are crying that we need this now and fast.

I’m wondering if anyone knows what they are voting for?  Now the bail out package is being called a “Rescue Package”.  I guess they feel that sounds better to us in accepting it.   The bottom line is, we’re not getting rescued, nobody has a clue what they are voting for, the folks that wrote it were part of the problem that created this mess, and we’re getting screwed again.

Pro-McCain Group Offering Cash for Protesters @ VP Debate

The NRCC front group “Vets for Freedom” has resorted to recruiting paid “demonstrators” from local college fraternities to maintain the illusion of popular support for Sarah Palin at the upcoming VP debate. The tactic echoes the 2000 “Brooks Brothers Riot,” when GOP congressional staff were flown from DC to fake a protest against the FLA recount .

How pitiful……
