Election Voting Machines – Voting Problems Again?

Well it seems we are moving into another election with the same machines/scanners and running out of ballots as before.

Four years later and the same story continues. It is disheartening to say the least.

Here we have Mr. Bush talking out both sides of his mouth. On the one hand, he wants to support other nations in their “fair” elections, yet on the other hand, one of the largest nations in the world can’t get it’s act together when it comes to voting.

Clearly fixing the previous voting problems haven’t been a priority. In fact, the effort to sweep this issue under the carpet is criminal. It is our own fault though. As a nation, we have to stand up to the government with our voices to demand accountability.

New Hampshire voting showed suspicious figures for Clinton and Obama. If just a few polls showed such difference for Obama when compared to the resulting tally, then there is margin of error and which ever way the wind blows. But to have such substantial differences in EVERY poll, well that echoes something different, something that appears as a deja’ vu.

Dennis Kucinich has called for a recount. He’s being told that he would have to pay for it. How absurd!

If there are such consistent differences that truly can’t be explained, then why not move for a recount just to be sure? After all, this is the year we are looking at a new leader for the next 4 to 8 years to steer this nation out of the mess the Bush administration has created. Don’t we need to know if the election system is working? It seems we can pay folks that shoot at our military $10 a day not to shoot at our military, but we can check into a smaller state’s election machines.

Kucinich speaks out concerning the voting equipment.

“Ever since the 2000 election – and even before – the American people have been losing faith in the belief that their votes were actually counted. This recount isn’t about who won 39% of 36% or even 1%. It’s about establishing whether 100% of the voters had 100% of their votes counted exactly the way they cast them.”

Probably a few calls to the New Hampshire Secretary of State are in order. Here is his website
